BISTECCA JAKARTA

The Union group is certainly a group of creative people with class and whatever they create never cease to disappoint me in any form, after being hugely successful with Union followed by the other establishments under their name, their latest establishment is now specially dedicated for steak enthusiasts, I give you... BISTECCA.
Bistecca is technically the neighbor of its own sibling, The Dutch, which is also located in the same area at 18 Parc SCBD. Something about how Bistecca looked from outside that reminded me of Union Deli in Grand Indonesia, but in general, the restaurants under Union group are gorgeous with great attention to details and pretty much on this same Fancy Vintage New York pub-like designs which I completely fall for.

Bistecca wasn't exactly spacious, but it's nicely designed and inside you'll find a live kitchen, liquor bar, and seating areas with sofa, overall it looks just like a fancy lounge only they have terrific food here.

This entry won't be a complete review of Bistecca nor a long one, as I was meeting my good friends here and they were extremely full after their dinner but craving for light bites and desserts, but I will definitely go back to try their steaks (which I heard to be impressive). I mean what's a visit to a steakhouse without actually trying their steaks damn it.

...and sorry for the lame pics it was crazy dark inside!
Bistecca Dry Martini - IDR 125k
Smoked Old Fashioned - IDR 145k
Paccheri Meatballs - IDR 190k
The pasta was perfectly cooked resulting this al-dente and perfectly firm texture, only I found the meatballs to be slightly dry in the center (but they were nicely seasoned).

Baked Alaska - IDR 120k
I was like this bad ex to baked alaska and my previous experience was never a good one and I never found it special... that until I actually tried theirs and as tacky as it sounds, fell in love with it. I didn't wish that it would be that good but it was with thick durian-shaped marshmallow layer coating the three-layer ice cream and a chocolate cake (almost brownie like), the exciting part must be when the fired rhum was poured to the dessert and made a worthy video moment. I found this dessert perfectly sweet, even after layers of sweet stuff with chocolate cake that was moist.

Signature Tiramisu - IDR 80k
Their tiramisu reminds me of the good one that I had at Caffe Milano and probably is, it's one of my most favorite tiramisu in town at the moment - it's not this wet type of tiramisu (if you fancy that), the mascarpone cream was in fact thick with altogether the perfect sweetness, only I would love to experience more rhum <3

Granny Apple Crumble - IDR 80k
Again another very satisfying dessert - the apple crumble was fantastic with the right sweetness and it was just sweeter with that one delicious scoop of vanilla ice cream on top. YUM!

If you've been following this blog for quite some time I bet you know that cheesy and milky flavor are never something that I am a big fan of and I honestly didn't find the desserts here to overpower my sensitive palate (believe me even the smell can be such a big turn off), so eatandtreats totally approves Bistecca desserts!
Thank you for reading this short review! Will definitely revisit, try the steaks and put an update!
