I have been putting this post on pending for a long time and I almost forgot about it. Yesterday when I was cleaning my computer and transferred everything to the new computer I just got, I found the picture from my trip to Thailand last year and I thought it would be an amazing idea to share my experience at Madame Tussauds Bangkok to you.
If you read my previous post about Hong Kong Disneyland, last year, me and (the same) best friends went to Bangkok and browse the city for 5 beautiful days. Man I love travelling with these bitches, and its funny how in one year we look different, except for Ricky and his constipated face, established since birth.
These bitches looked like TKI last year and I was fatter last year, but what matters is now! We freaking look better, heres a before and after picture to show you!
Macau, April 2016
As I am writing this post at the moment, I am missing them. Our last trip to Hong Kong was beautiful, and its such a shame that we are all so busy back in town that we dont meet and chat enough, I even meet Ricky like once or twice a year, but I just love when were all together, its just fun and no matter how often I make fun of them on the internet I love them kthxbye!A brief history about Madame Tussauds, its a wax museum founded in London and named after Marie Tussaud, a French-born sculpture. It was this spacious area transformed to this museum of wax figures featuring mostly famous and the important people on each country, so yes, there are some more Madame Tussauds museums spread around the world (around 23 more) and each will include the famous or honorable people (most likely to be ones related to the nations administrative) in their own country.
Madame Tussauds Bangkok is located at the 6th floor of Siam Discovery Center shopping mall, FYI besides Singapore, Madame Tussauds Bangkok is currently the closest Indonesians can reach at the moment. Getting to the Siam Discovery Center wasnt a burden, Bangkoks BTS might be a little annoying when it comes to the payment (as it only receives coins), but make your way to the Siam station and take a 5 minute walk to the Siam Discovery Center. ABC easy!
It operates from 10 AM-9 PM daily, we went there on a weekday around 9:30 AM-ish if Im not mistaken and the queue wasnt yet crazy, We were smart enough to purchase the ticket online from their official website AND BOY DO I RECOMMEND ONLINE TICKET PURCHASE AS ITS CHEAPER! Spent 640 baht per person (IDR 256k or $22) rather than $800 baht per person (IDR 320k or $28) for on the spot purchase. I heard they sometimes have this early bird tickets but I am not sure about that, you I think you better go check out their website for more details -> HERE
Before we get to the Madame Tussauds stories, I want to share you some of my favorite pictures taken here.
To be frank, since Madame Tussauds is more sort of like an exhibiton, I am gonna write much and going to let the pictures do all the talking. I hope you like them, I didnt take picture of each and every figure here (some I took but some of the pics turned out blurry fml), and I try my best to recall each and every name, I hope I do not make any mistake.
But what I can tell you is that The Madame Tussauds Bangkok is divided into 9 zones including: Leaders Zone, History Zone, Sports Zone, Arts & Science Zone and more, and I mostly was super mesmerized by the great detailing, the of hair, the freckles, the cute wrinkles, the realistic eye color, I literally just couldnt stop taking pictures. Some figures are specially designed to be interactive, so visitors can pose and act like doing something with the figure (for example the president Obama's office and Oprah's show). My camera was fully charged when I left the hotel and sucked out 50% due to the picture taking inside the museum. It was hella fun!
OK enjoy the pictures!
It was a true honor to have our first president, Ir. Soekarno stood gracefully precisely after the main entrance to greet everyone coming with such warm smile! Hes a legend and will always be remembered!
